My heart is going out to all the immigrant children (and their families) that I have taught over the years in NYC; to all my gay, black, brown, Muslim, and Jewish friends and colleagues; to all the women who have been harassed, discriminated against, and objectified; and to anyone else who doesn’t feel safe or feels like America voted against THEM in this election.
